After a short 8 hours of downtime, Wistful Dreaming is back online with a new look!
I changed hosting providers. I had been looking to move away from doteasy for a while now. Their databases seem to be really slow. I heard good things about dreamhost so I made the jump! The weekend sign-up special was a good incentive too 
The previous photoblog style of the site was becoming more limiting. I’ve been doing more drawing than photography since the mid-year and I wanted the freedom that a typical blog gives you. The previous web site was using Pixel Post and it’s a great piece of software for photoblogging however it doesn’t allow multiple images within each post.
WordPress seems to be the most popular blogging engine on the net today. I don’t know any other piece of software that has the same user community surrounding it. I think this user community and the continual stream of updates makes WordPress an ideal candidate for me right now.
The site is still a work-in-progress for now. I’m going to try out the new beta for Gallery 3 to post my previous images. I really liked ZenPhoto but it looks like development for it has ended now that Gallery 3 has been streamlined and effectively accomplishes everything that ZenPhoto strived for.
